NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - McDonald's Corp. said it would pay $10 million to Hindu, vegetarian and other groups more than a year after a Seattle lawyer sued the fast-food chain, alleging it failed to disclose the use of beef flavoring in its French fries.

Sorry to be a Magnolia fanboy. But how was Magnolia (or Traffic for that matter) boring. I'm not questioning your opinion, its just you didn't really explain yourself very well. (TBH: It seems like you didnt really understand the deeper meanings behind the films - Plot comes second in character driven films as an interesting plot should eminate from interesting characters, no matter how trivial the concept behind it)
...oh wait, I just read this:
'Art' is relatively(sp?). What you find art, doesnt necessarily mean it ?s. One might say that blade2 is art, I mean, look at all those cool choreographed scenes! Wow! The fighting scenes are art all by itself!
"I like to be entertained by a good movie. That's it."
Fair do's. But you're missing out.

Hey there.
Magnolia = 4 hours of a director joining his actors in one long self indulgent w*nking session. It sucked donkey balls... Badly.
"Plot comes second in character driven films as an interesting plot should eminate from interesting characters"
Thats fine. Thats why I love Boogie Nights. The Platinum Edition is one of my fave movies/dvds.
With Magnolia Anderson dropped the ball. It was just so damb boring. There wants one killing or explosion. No martial arts. Not even a kick *** fight scene.
When I watch Magnolia. I see great acting. Some very cool moments. Some great direction. Its just not a great movie. It just didnt work. AND THATS A MEDICAL FACT.
Anderson needed to get him self an editor with a pair of balls big enough to cut a scene.
Despin out.

art is also a form of entertainment.
I like to see a movie which i find entertaining, whether that'd be a thrilling or laughing experience. I want to 'feel' something when i watch it.
Same thing with art. You get a certain feeling whenyou see something unique or whatever the art-thing is. I dont want to watch a boring movie just because the hardcore movieviewers think the movie is art and defines the views of life, or whatever.
Magnolia and Traffic, two movies many people enjoyed, said things like 'ooh this is new, unexpecting blahblah'. I'm right here, right? Well anyways, i didnt finish those two movies because I thought they sucked and they were boring. The only reason why i sat through Magnolia that long is because I somehow knew that the ending was going to be totally unexpecting and would make the movie worth watching for. It rained frogs. Now that, you might say, is something like 'art', the filmmaker wants to give the viewer another way of looking at the world in that movie. Fck that filmmaker. THe movie was boring. Some characterdevelopments were nice, some relations between certain characters were interesting, but the story didnt keep myself interested and entertained enough to prevent me from doing something else.
I cant even remember traffic but i believe it also was a combination of characters who all end together.
